Dark mana (aka lunar, dark, or night mana) is mana converted into a dark pale orb. Dark mana originates in Dark springs, which only exist in places of perpetual or near-permanent darkness, such as caves or deep underwater. Dark springs hide everything within them, obscured by unnatural darkness and made invisible. Dark springs are class 1, dangerous to those unprepared for them. Dark mana can be found in some nocturnal and isolated creatures, both prey and predators use invisibility and darkness to their advantage. Dark spells are a powerful tool for thieves, spies, and assassins. Dark blinds in a different way than Light, but it also doesn’t deal any damage on its own. Powerful Dark mages can darken a whole field at midday.
