Cryo crab

Cryo-crabs live in the remote frozen places of the world, most commonly in cravasses of high mountains and glaciers. Newborn cryo-crabs are no bigger than a coin, but they seem to have no upper size limit. Cryo-crabs as big as a house have been reported. They feed on everything that finds its way down into their pits, from pollen to people, and even each other. Cryo-crabs are blind, but have the ability to communicate their position telepathically, so a swarm of them can build a collective mental map of their surroundings.

Cryo-crabs are quite capable of climbing out of their pits, but will only do so if food has become very scarce or something disturbs them. In either case, they will not travel far beyond their pit. Anyone who disturb a cast of cryo-crabs is best off getting far away from their pit as fast as possible.

"Frostbite" [1] Melee +4. Bites, dealing Ice damage and freezing upon dealing a wound.

"Slam" [0] Melee +8. Slams its claw into all creatures in front of it.

"Vicegrip" [1] Melee +12. Grabs a creature with its claw.

"Grab" [1] Melee +8. Grabs a creature with its claw.

"Crush" [0] Melee +30. If a creature is grabbed, this damage is dealt then the creature is released.
