Frost mana

Frost mana (aka ice or cold magic) is mana converted into a swirl of ice crystals.

Frost mana use is found mostly in species native to cold regions, and consists of defensive techniques such as forming protective barriers and offensive techniques such as freezing fast prey.

Frost spells are most commonly used by soldiers, but also find use in food preservation. Powerful frost mages can conjure blizzards or freeze a lake.

Frost deals freezing damage but can also be formed to deal bleeding or crushing damage.

Springs

Frost mana originates from frost springs, which take the form of frozen tundra and permanent blizzards. Frost springs are mostly concentrated around the poles, but some exist on high mountaintops. Frost springs are class 2, dangerous but survivable by experts.
