Frostmites are little flying wasps with a painful sting. A single sting from a frostmite will leave the area around the sting frostbitten, and multiple stings can lead to loss of fingers, toes, and in the most severe cases limbs. Frostmites travel in swarms of hundreds, seeking out warm-blooded creatures to sting and draw blood from to keep themselves warm in cold weather. A swarm will surround their target and repeatedly sting it, leaving painful frostbitten marks all over the body.
