History of Mezia

Ancient Era

The Ancient Era (AE) was a time long ago, when the Gods were present on Mezia and cultivated the growth of its inhabitants. The few poems and songs that have survived from this era tell of a golden age, free from war and disease. Nobody remembers why the Gods left Mezia, but their departure brought about the Behemoth Era.

Behemoth Era

The Behemoth Era (BE) was a time when behemoths ruled much of the world and crushed all hope for most other species. Civilization was weak and unstable, the few pockets of order had to focus much of their effort on defense and survival. The Behemoth Era finally ended with the Fall of the Behemoths, a massive world war with heavy casualties on both sides.

Champion Era

The Champion Era (CE) is the current era, now in its 376th year. The people of the world, no longer singularly focused on protecting themselves from behemoths, slowly recovered from the war and were able to develop large scale civilizations with trade, culture, and education.
