---|---|
Water mana is mana converted into drops of water.
Water mana is very common in aquatic creatures. Water mana is used by creatures for offense, in the form of trapping and slowing prey, and defense in the form of burst of speed and distractions.
Water spells are common among sailors for guiding currents and damping waves, and also weather mages primarily use water mana to form clouds and deliver rain to parched areas. Water mages commonly serve roles in fishing, sailing, and agriculture, making water magic one of the best known and most liked magics among the general populace. Water mages who serve in war do so almost exclusively in a navy, using their control of water to shift the battlefield in their side's favor. The most powerful water mages can cause devestating floods, whirlpools, tsunamis, and rainstorms.
Water deals force damage, but can be concentrated to deal bleeding or crushing damage.
Water is the domain of the goddess Asuanna.
Springs
Water mana originates in water springs, which are large pools of water, such as lakes, seas, and oceans. Water springs often exist within larger bodies of natural water and may be accompanied by whirlpools or excessive turbulence. Water springs are class 1, dangerous to those unprepared for them.
Spells
Water spells can be used to create a variety of effects, and like water itself the effects quickly settle out. In combat, water spells generally inflict crushing damage.
Rolling is not necessary when using a water spell without any constraint, such as out of combat.
