Naur Bor Paladin Strike

From AP Wiki

The Naur Bor Paladin Strike (sometimes known as the Elvish Paladin Scandal, Whip Strike , or Lammen strike) was the climax of Elvish authorities vs Elvish Veterans and Naur Bor College Students over promised political reform and stipends promised by the local ruling body of the Paladin forces in for the Elvish House of Knowledge (Car -o golodh) and ruling governor Ural Gorean. The Protests ended with the dispatch of magic armed Calvary against the protests and the removal of Ural Gorean and affilliated memebers from ruling positions.

Early issues

During The Fifth Conflict of Dwarven Kingdoms, The Naur-Bor Paladin Guild utilized a campaign of students from The Elvish House of Knowledge to conduct an information campaign in order to survey the mountains of the surrounding campaign area as well information warfare through far-sight magic. Initially the output of willing recruits was very low as the promise of extra class credits for the price of being caught spying was not an appetizing idea to any of the students. Eventually the Paladin's Guild offered a 5 gold payment for per tour of duty or 500 silver per enemy movement for each applicant. This did see a boost in recruitment for a short time.

Nearing the end of the war, as elvish forces began suffering extensive losses, the combined student body outsourced to less magic capable minds in order to create obfuscation from Dwarven counter intelligence, primarily by going through homeless encampments and attracting people through the promised government payments. Further employments of "proxy-minds" allowed students to apply for more stipends under a loophole under the act. After the surrender of Elvish forces, to the Forgebreaker Clan (Blund Forgebreaker) the Naur-Bor Paladin Guild ad the Elvish House of Knowledge faced defaulting if promised payment was given to the student body.

Ural Gorean Embezzlement

Ural Gorean, the ruling governor of the Othrond -o anor , in which the Elvish House of Knowledge resides, passed executive authority to change the promised gold value to credits as previously promised. Gorean then levied taxes on both students and trade in order to regain lost capital from the war. This combination of economic moves created an increased poverty spike. This action compounded with the promised payment to returning veterans caused civil uproar in the city. This lead to a uniform strike in the city. However, due to information restriction and a brutal campaign of civil enforcement by Ural Gorean over the city , the outer Elvish Kingdoms were unaware of the outrage broiling. In addition, Ural Began collecting taxes and resources for personal gain and cabinet loyalty in order to maintain rule in the city. This matter would not be addressed until sources began to spread to outer cities.
