Pyramid of Potesh

From AP Wiki

The Pyramid of Potesh is a huge pyramid found in the Defersi Desert in northern Alishtahan. Nobody knows its origin or purpose, but inside is full of monsters and treasure, which is enough to attract adventurers. The pyramid was discovered by Onterius Potesh, who founded the settlement of Potesh around it to stay and plunder the riches inside, especially the unusual transmutation tokens which are only found inside.

Rooms

Rules of the Pyramid

The pyramid is enchanted to enforce certain rules on entry, exit, and the treasure found inside.

Transmutation Tokens

  • Instead of ordinary coins, transmutation tokens can be found as loot in the pyramid.
  • Inside the pyramid, these tokens are simply colorful stones with no special properties.
  • Outside the pyramid, the tokens will transform into whatever they're touching when water is added (can't transform into water).
  • The tokens will turn to sand if taken more than 100 meters from the base of the pyramid.

Keys

  • There are keys held by powerful bosses which allow advancement further into the pyramid.
  • When a boss is defeated, everyone in the room is granted the key in the form of a tattoo on their hand.
  • The key does not need to be visible to function.

Overhaul

  • The pyramid closes at noon on Sunday, no longer accepting any new entrants.
  • While closed, the pyramid rearranges itself to a new configuration.
  • Rooms end up in new places, puzzles and doors change, but the general layout appears to stay the same.
  • The pyramid reopens at noon on Monday.

Entry

  • No person may enter the pyramid more than once between overhauls.
  • A person may only spend up to 24 consecutive hours in the pyramid.

Exit

  • Spending 24 hours in the pyramid immediately teleports the person in front of the pyramid entrance.
  • Many rooms and halls have an exit stone that can be used to leave the pyramid instantly.
  • Touching an exit stone will teleport the person in front of the pyramid entrance.
  • When touching an exit stone, there is a 1% chance that you will appear without any of your items.
