A transmutation token is a small circular disk with a very unique property. The token permanently transmutes into a substance it is in contact with when mana is directed into it. The token weighs 12 grams untransformed, so its value in gold is approximately 1/3 of a gold coin. The token retains its mass after the transmutation, so transmuting into a low density substance can cause it to expand significantly (likewise transmuting to a high density substance will shrink it).
