This template creates a hatnote that can provide a short description of the current page and link to up to two pages.

Usage

This template accepts up to five unnamed parameters for text and links, as well as a section parameter.

Default

With no parameters this template will produce a link to the disambiguation page for the article title.

First parameter

The first parameter adds a sentence briefly describing the current article.

This Template is about Use1. For other uses, see About (disambiguation).

Second & third parameters

The second parameter is used to describe another use, typically associated with the link in the third parameter.

This Template is about Use 1. For Use 2, see About (disambiguation).

This Template is about Use 1. For Use 2, see Article 2.

Fourth & fifth parameters

The fourth parameter is used to describe yet another use, typically associated with the link in the fifth parameter.

section

The section parameter changes the text for when {{About}} is placed below a section. This parameter can be defined as anything, but usually section=yes is used for clarity.
